The College Academy at Broward College
The College Academy is a joint venture between The School Board of Broward County and Broward College (BC). The College Academy @ Broward College (CA) is the only Early College program that provides eligible Broward County public high school students with FREE, full-time Dual Enrollment tuition. Since the partnership's inception in 2001, many high school students have been able to earn both an Associate of Arts (AA) degree and a high school diploma. In addition to this unparalleled opportunity, they have earned millions of dollars in scholarships and continued their postsecondary education, matriculating to prestigious institutions around the globe.
The College Academy will begin accepting applications from 10th-grade students for the 2025 – 2026 school year from September 1, 2025, to November 1, 2025. A second round of admissions will occur from January 5, 2026, to February 6, 2026. All 10th-grade students who meet the eligibility requirements are welcome to apply. Along with the application, qualifying test scores from ACCUPLACER Next Generation, ACT, or SAT are required for admission to CA.
If accepted, in August 2026, students will begin their 11th-grade year as full-time students at the College Academy with classes at Broward College. Students will take their coursework at the Central campus in Davie or the North campus in Coconut Creek.
Prospective students and families who are interested in the College Academy are invited to attend any of the upcoming information sessions occurring on the dates below.
This school is designed for students who possess the maturity required for college campus life, the discipline to use their time wisely, and the academic ability to handle the rigor of college work.
